A spiritual journey of self discovery and enrichment for teens, this class will encourage mindfulness, gratitude, self-love and self-care in a safe and sacred circle. Exercises in meditation, yoga, journaling and vision boards provide opportunity for creative expression and group interaction. Open to young people from 11 to 17 who wish to find like-minded people to share mystical and spiritual experiences, conversation and friendship. Instructors: Nicole Monello and Chloe Gonzalez.

Week 1 will be a discovery of self love. We will hold a discussion on what self love means; how to overcome insecurities and anxiety. How to practice self love, embrace and inspire others to do the same. A small journal and journaling exercises will be provided.

Week 2 is all about self care, taking that self love and learning how to care for our bodies, minds and spirits. We will discuss healthy eating habits, skin and hair care. Learn yoga pranayama and asana for teens. Create a vision board of your future and your inner spirit goals.

Week 3 we will learn about mindfulness, what does it really mean, The benefits of it and how to practice it. There will be exercises in mediation. Each participant will make their own dream catcher.

Week 4 teaches gratitude; understanding that gratitude is more than just giving thanks. We will flow through a gratitude yoga sequence. Then each person will have an opportunity to make two mala bracelets, one to keep in thanks to themselves for going on this journey of self discovery and another to gift to someone for whom they are grateful.

*Materials will be provided each week, and participants may be asked to bring magazine clippings and pictures for the vision board project.
