Hawthorn Grove is pleased to offer this 8 week introduction to Wicca course through Just Breathe Spiritual Community Center on Sunday afternoons starting October 6 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.  Hawthorn Grove is a British Traditional Wiccan (BTW) study group overseen by a lineaged Gardnerian / Alexandrian coven. The Grove leaders are initiated members of our mother coven.

Tuition: $120.  This tuition breaks down $15 per class session and covers venue overhead, advertising costs, and course materials.  By BTW standards, Nimue and Emrys set the tuition to cover the operational costs of the course and do not financially benefit from the tuition.  Gardnerian / Alexandrian Craft holds to the ethic that training is freely given and not for the profit of the teacher.

This course is intended for individuals new to modern Paganism and Wicca in particular and who are curious about the beliefs and practices.  While the course will be taught from a BTW perspective other Pagan / Wiccan perspectives will also be discussed.  A variety of topics will be covered including:

* Paganism vs. Wicca

* History & Traditions of Wicca

* Ethics, Beliefs, and Magic

* The Wheel of the Year and the Moon Cycle

* Deities

* The Elements

* Tools and Altar setup

* Types of Rituals and Ritual Design

The course will culminate with a ritual written and run by the students.

Participation in this course does not automatically lead to further training with Hawthorn Grove, or to initiation into our Tradition.

Please register using the ticketing link.  For questions, please email

Nimue and Emrys have been married nearly as long as they have been practicing magical partners.  As the leaders of Hawthorn Grove, and as parents themselves, they have a special dedication to supporting other pagan parents who would like to seek BTW training but need to balance it with raising a family.

In the mundane world, they are mental health and IT professionals whose background includes elder care, hospice, behavioral health crisis intervention, and medical data management.  When not helping with homework, going to Scouts or sports practice, and just keeping the family running, their hobbies include knitting, gardening, board games, and reading.
